Elephant Card

Happy Saturday
I had a creative burst this weekend and so here are my many creations and the blog challenges that I will be entering them in.
The first is my Elephant Happy Birthday Card.

I used the cricut elephant cut from the Sugar and Spice cartridge. The sun is from the Sesame Street Seasons cartridge.
I embossed the elephant made from sparkly / shiny grey and pink papers. I also added some bling jewels for the water spray and the center of the flowers. The tag is a cuttlebug die cut.
I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

My layout for Fantabulous Cricut Challenge # 128

I created this layout for challenge #128 Transportation. The golf cart was my kids favorite form of transportation this summer. And they loved the special time with Dad when he took them golfing. All of the cricut cuts came from Everyday Paper Dolls and All Mixed Up for the font.

The school division that I work for has a push on technological literacy this year.  So as a way to expand my knowledge base of the subject (and a way to incorporate learning and crafting) I have decided  to begin a blog to document some of my scrapbooking layouts.  I am hoping that this will help to spur me along to get my creative scrapbooking juices flowing more regularly. I am also hoping to participate more regularly in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenges as I learn more techniques.

So here we go, here is the first pic of a 2 page layout that I did to document the weekend rains we had while camping last summer.  I was going for a simple look without a lot of journaling.  I used the rain drop cuts from the Indie Art cartridge (both the cuts and the negatives).  I also used the Rain Rain Go Away from the Nursery Rhymes Cartridge.

A closer look:
